Ain Shams University Virtual Hospital

Ain Shams University Virtual Hospital (AVH) is one of the Ain Shams University Hospitals, dedicated to patient-centered, technology-enabled healthcare. AVH launched its Treat & Teach initiative at the League of Arab States in 2016 and was formally established in 2017. Through its Treat, Teach & Innovate strategy, it helps institutions in Egypt, the Middle East and Africa start new healthcare services or improve existing ones, combining telemedicine, capacity building and in-house digital health innovation. In 2021, AVH became the first telemedicine provider outside the United States to earn URAC accreditation. To date, it has delivered more than 40 projects and reached learners in 118 countries.
